Specimen Requirements
Submit only 1 of the following specimens:
Preferred:
Specimen Type: Plasma
Container/Tube: Light-green top (lithium heparin gel)
Specimen Volume: 1 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL
Additional Information:
1. Fresh specimens should be used whenever possible. Process specimens and perform testing as soon as possible after collection.
2. Total time at ambient temperature (including processing time) should not exceed 6 hours.
3. If testing is delayed > 6 hours, specimens may be refrigerated up to 48 hours. Frozen specimen are NOT acceptable.
4. Label specimen appropriately (plasma).

Container/Tube: Red top or serum gel
Specimen Volume: 1 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL
