Differential: A slide is prepared and stained and individual cells are identified and counted.

Specimen Type: Body fluid

Container/Tube: Lavender top (EDTA) preferred or Sterile container.

Do not reject: Check with Testing lab if a different container type is used.

Specimen Volume: 1 mL

Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL

Additional Information: Specimen source is required.
