pH-Sensitive Glass Electrode in Conjunction with a Reference Electrode
Specimen Requirements
Specimen must arrive within 30 minutes of draw.
Specimen Type: Cord blood
Container/Tube: Lithium heparin blood gas syringe
Specimen Volume: 0.25 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.20 mL
Collection Instructions: Remove needle, express air bubbles, cap with rubber stopper, and mix well.
Additional Information: Label specimen appropriately (arterial or venous cord blood).
