Methodology
Chemiluminescence Immunoassay (CLIA)
Specimen Requirements
Specimen Type: Serum
Container/Tube: Serum gel
Specimen Volume: 2 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 1 mL
Collection Instructions: Grossly hemolyzed or lipemic specimen is not acceptable.
Additional Information: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Refrigerate 5 days/Frozen 2 months OK/Ambient NO

Testing Algorithm
If the Lyme antibody result is positive or equivocal, then Lyme disease antibody confirmation will be performed at an additional charge.
