Special Instructions

Essentia Health physicians, credentialed practitioners and clinical staff will arrange for the review of outside pathology material by Essentia Health pathology prior to instituting patient’s treatment.

*Dermatology Exception: Review of outside skin biopsy slides may be performed by dermatologists with Mohs Surgery certification. Complicated or atypical lesions will continue to be reviewed by Pathology Section. Case selection at the discretion of the dermatologist.
