Collection Container/Tube:

Preferred:  Blue Top 3.2 % NaCit

Collection Requirements:

Centrifuge the 3.2% Sodium Citrate light blue top 
tube at 1500xg (3000 rpm) for 15 minutes to separate 
the plasma. 
DOUBLE SPIN
 
Transfer top 2/3 of platelet poor plasma 
into plastic tube. Centrifuge again, transfer 0.5 mL 
plasma into plastic transport tube. Freeze.
