Test Code LABTHROM Thrombocytopenia Panel, Whole Blood

Important Note

This test is used to determine a manual platelet count on specimens that have platelet clumping due to anticoagulant effect in patients that have thrombocytopenia (platelet count below 150 x 103/μL) and to prevent multiple blood draws in order to acquire an accurate platelet count.

Do not order this test to determine platelet functionality or cause of decreased platelets.
