Specimen Requirements
Specimen Type: Urine, random
Container/Tube: Plastic urine container
Specimen Volume: 30 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 2.1 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. Collect a fresh, random urine specimen.
2. No preservative. Specimen with boric acid is not acceptable.
Additional Information:
1. A positive result will result in confirmatory testing at a reference laboratory.
2. Adulteration of specimen may cause erroneous results. If adulteration is suspected, obtain a fresh specimen.
3. If specimen displays turbidity, centrifuge before analysis.
