Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)

Specimen must arrive within 72 hours of draw.

Specimen Type: Plasma

Container/Tube: Lavender top (EDTA)

Specimen Volume: 4 mL

Specimen Minimum Volume: 1 mL

Pediatric Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.25 mL for children ≤ 3 years of age

Collection Instructions: Remove plasma from cells within 6 hours of collection

Refrigerate OK/Frozen OK/Ambient NO
